Care Instructions:
- Cleaning:
- Daily Cleaning: Wash the cutting board with warm, soapy water after each use. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.
- Conditioning wooden boards:
- Frequency: Use the included Penguin Plank Paste on the cutting board regularly to maintain its condition, ideally once a month or when the wood looks dry.
- Method: Apply a generous amount to the surface, rub it in with a clean cloth. Wipe off any excess with a clean, dry cloth.
- Storage:
- Store the cutting board in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid placing heavy items on top of the board to prevent warping.
- If possible, store it upright to allow for air circulation.
Important Notes:
- Do Not Soak: Never soak the cutting board in water, as it can cause the board to warp, crack, or split.
- Dishwashers: Do not place the cutting board in the dishwasher. The heat and water can damage the material.
- Harsh Chemicals: Do not use any harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on the cutting board.
By following these guidelines, your cutting board will remain in excellent condition and serve you well for years to come.
